How do I change the batteries in my Eflare?
Show detailsFor beacons using D batteries:
Unscrew the base of the beacon anticlockwise.
Insert 2 × D batteries, ‘+’ side first.
Use high-quality alkaline batteries and regularly check their condition.
Ensure the O-ring is correctly fitted, then screw the cap back on until tight.
The Eflare is now ready for use.
For beacons using AA batteries:
Unscrew the base of the beacon anticlockwise.
Insert 2 or 4 AA batteries into the carriage, aligning the ‘+’ and ‘–’ ends correctly.
Use high-quality alkaline batteries and inspect them periodically.
Check that the O-ring is properly in place, then tighten the base.
The Eflare is ready for operation.
Tip: Always replace batteries as a complete set for consistent performance.
