Proper storage keeps your Eflare beacon performing reliably for years. A clean, dry environment and regular seal checks ensure the beacon remains watertight and ready whenever needed.

Storage Checks

• Remove batteries for long-term storage to prevent leakage and damage. Follow the battery manufacturer’s shelf-life guidance.
• Seal integrity: after battery changes, ensure the O-ring is seated and the cap is tightened to maintain the IP66 seal.
• Clean, dry storage: if exposed to grime or salt spray, wipe down and allow to dry before storage to protect the seal and contacts.
• Recommended batteries only: using non-recommended cells can affect approvals and warranty.
• Periodic check: power on briefly and confirm the battery status LED before deployment.
