Troubleshooting Guide
Most beacon issues can be resolved quickly with a few simple checks. Use this guide to diagnose common problems before contacting support.
Beacon does not turn on
- Confirm correct battery orientation.
- Verify recommended battery types and that cells are fresh.
- Ensure the end cap is fully tightened to engage the O-ring and contacts.
- Operate by twisting the lens and check the internal status LED.
Beacon is dim or changes pattern unexpectedly
- Amber indicates intermediate level and may drop to low-battery mode after several hours.
- Red indicates batteries require replacement.
- In critical low-battery, the flash pattern may change by design.
Water or dust ingress concern
- Check the O-ring is seated and the cap is tight to maintain IP66 performance.
- Inspect and clean seal surfaces.
Battery leakage
- Damage from leakage is not covered by warranty.
- Replace cells immediately and clean contacts as per guidance.
