Warranty Registration and Claim Process

Registering your beacon ensures full warranty coverage and faster support if an issue arises. It also helps us keep you informed about product updates and service notices.

Coverage

Eflare Corporation Pty Ltd warrants that Eflare beacons will be free from defective materials and workmanship under normal and intended use for five years from the date of purchase by the original end-user. This warranty replaces all statutory rights, but only to the extent that they cannot be excluded by law.

If the original end-user purchaser detects any defect in the materials or workmanship, the beacon must be returned, with proof of its purchase, directly to place of purchase.  Eflare Corporation Pty Ltd will repair or replace, at its sole discretion, any product found to be defective in material and workmanship in that five-year period.  Where possible, repair or replacement will be made using identical components; however, this may not be possible and in such an instance Eflare Corporation Pty Ltd will replace the items with products or parts that are comparable in quality and value.

This warranty does not cover the clips on the side of the unit, the batteries, damage caused by leaking batteries or damage to metal parts inside the beacon if it is operated when the interior is wet.  Nor does this warranty cover damage from fair wear and tear or accident, unreasonable use or modifications; non-observance of operating instructions; defects or failures occurring when the product has been serviced by a person not authorised by Eflare Corporation Pty Ltd, or with non-approved parts; nor if any serial number is removed or defaced; nor the use of non-alkaline batteries, nor incidental or consequential damage.

If the purchaser is a consumer (as defined under the Australian Consumer Law) and if that Law is applicable, then Eflare beacons come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. In that case. the purchaser is entitled to a replacement or refund for major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.  The purchaser is also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
